Our team provides services for Pacific adults, youth and children who have moderate to severe mental illness.Contact with Health Pasifika staff can be at the service base, in your home or at another arranged meeting place.

How to access our service

  • Contact the service yourself
  • Be referred by your GP, family or friend or another service in the DHB or community.
  • You are welcome to have your ngutuare tangata / aiga /kaiga/ kainga/ magafaoa/ family, other support person or an advocate with you when you use our services.

Service we provide

  • Clinical and cultural assessment and treatment planning.
  • Mobile care co ordination and management
  • Consultation liaison and key working specific tasks with community, inpatient and specialty mental health services / teams and other Pacific Non Government Oganisations.
  • Mental health Information .
  • Community services information.

For after hours and urgent situations:
Contact Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team  (CATT) PH 4949-169

CATT is a 24 hr 7 day a week service and can be accessed directly, or via a G.P., Community Mental Health Team or the Emergency Department. After hours and on weekends calls are answered by the Mental Health Line who are qualified mental health staff. Most callers are able to be assisted by the Mental Health Line. If further support is required they will arrange for CATT support
